Aggregate Resource Licensing and Management
Site Assessments
Licensing a site for aggregate extraction is a complex process. The approvals necessary require a thorough review of the potential effects of an operation through time and include understanding the "cumulative effects" of when combined with other operations or applications. At Harrington McAvan we have almost 30 years of experience in assembling and coordinating the work of multi-disciplinary teams of experts to confirm that applications are technically sound. Our plans and reports assimilate the conclusions of the team into operations plans which meet the technical requirements as laid out in the Aggregate Resources Act, the Provincial Policy Statement and the local and regional planning documents.
