Richard McAvan, OALA CSLA
Richard graduated from the University of Guelph in 1996 with a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture and became a Full Member of the Ontario Association of Landscape Architects in 2000. He has been involved in projects at a wide variety of scales for clients in both private and public sectors. Richard joined Harrington McAvan Ltd. in 1997 and became a Principal of the firm in May of 2004.
Richard's body of work includes designs for institutional and recreational facilities, parks and trails, urban streetscapes, and commercial and residential sites. He is also responsible for producing aggregate resource site plans and has solid experience in the development of stream restoration and wetland creation initiatives.
Richard provides strong leadership with a focus on detailed design and construction documentation, contract administration, and construction supervision.
